Information We Collect and How We Use It
GLM collects certain information from and about its users three ways: from our Web server logs, with cookies, and directly from the user.
- Web server logs: When you visit our GLM websites, we may track information to administer the site and analyze its usage. Examples of information we may track include:

- What kind of browser or computer has visited the site
- The number of links clicked within the site

- Business information provided by the user: On some of our websites, visitors can register to attend our tradeshows as either an exhibitor or buyer, register for a seminar, and participate in surveys or contests. When you register, we will ask you for your business information (information already in the public domain).
If you're registering as an exhibitor or for a seminar, we may request financial information (e.g., What is your credit card number?). Any financial information we collect is used only to bill you for the products and services you purchased. If you purchase by credit card, this information may be forwarded to your credit card processor and provider and is not stored by GLM.
For all types of registrations (exhibitor, buyer, seminar), we will ask for your business information including; name, company name, address, email address, fax number and telephone number. We may then contact you with information about other GLM products and services.
If you register as an exhibitor, your information will be shared with relevant affiliated third party trade vendors approved by GLM to facilitate your participation in our tradeshows and printed in the official show directory both online and available at the show.
If you register as a buyer, your information will be shared with relevant affiliated third party trade vendors approved by GLM to service the show.
If you register for a seminar, your business information may be shared with the seminar presenter.
Finally, you may be asked to disclose information to us so that we can provide assistance and information to you. For example, we may collect information from you (such as an email address, system information, and problem descriptions) in order to provide online technical support and troubleshooting.
If you don't want to receive promotional materials from GLM, you can opt out at any time. You simply need to update your preferences with each GLM service to which you are registered. Please direct all opting out questions and requests to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you dont want to receive promotional materials from any of GLMs affiliated third party trade vendors, please contact them directly.

Information about GLM registrants is maintained in a secure environment. This information is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes, except as set forth above. GLM does not disclose any information about any registrant's usage of GLM websites, except as required by law.
Some GLM websites make chat rooms, forums, message boards, or news groups available to you. Please remember that any information disclosed in these areas is public. You should exercise caution when disclosing personal information in these areas. Don't disclose information in these public forums that might be considered confidential.
GLM also may provide summary statistics about our customers' interests and preferences, products sold, traffic patterns, and related site information to reputable third parties. These statistics do not include personal identification information; they are used only to enhance the design of our website and customize new product offerings to our customers. How We Protect Your Information
GLM uses technical security measures to prevent the loss, misuse, and alteration of information under our control.
For example, when we ask customers to provide financial information (such as a credit card number) that data is protected using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. GLM does not store your credit card information.
Who Has Access to the Information?
GLM will share your information in three ways:
- As required by law, in a matter of public safety or policy, or as needed in connection with the transfer of other business assets
- With other GLM tradeshows
- With affiliated third party vendors who use it on GLM's behalf or in connection with their relationship with us
