NEW YORK, NY, January 21, 2021… Five companies were presented with Baby & Child Best New Product Awards today, with Benbini receiving the “Blogger’s Best” distinction for Benbini Watches. Baby & Child, one of 10 divisions in the New York International Gift Fair® (NYIGF®), runs through Wednesday, January 30, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
In addition to the semi-annual “Blogger’s Best” award, Baby & Child Best New Product Awards recognize excellence in four categories: toy, décor, gear and apparel. A panel of eight editors from trade media, kid-centric blogs and websites, selected products which exemplified innovation, design and style.
The winter 2013 winners and finalists, selected from nearly 70 products, are:
Benbini (Atlanta, GA) for Benbini Watches, stylish and functional silicone watches with patented double bezel design for easy timing of naps, feedings, time-outs, etc.
Winner: Home Grown Books (New York, NY) for Set 3: Artist Sara Woster collection of eight books for the earliest reader featuring oil paintings by Sara Woster. The language ranges from simple one word text to two short sentences per page in a consistent pattern.
Finalist: Geared for Imagination (Akron, OH) for Plus-Plus Midi.
Finalist: innovativeKids® (Norwalk, CT) for Green Start “play, draw, create: ocean” kit.
Winner: 3 Sprouts (Toronto, Canada) for 3 Sprouts Laundry Hamper, a silk-screened, easy-to-cart hamper that combines design with function.
Finalist: The Ellie Rose, LLC (Chester Springs, PA) for Reversible Phoebe Blanket.
Finalist: SOZO® (Unionville, CT) for Baby Cuddle Mats.
Winner: MadPax (Scottsdale, AZ) for Blok Fullpack, a backpack for kids of all ages with 3D construction.
Finalist: Magicforest, LTD (Portsmouth, NH) for Corduroy Satchel.
Finalist: Petites Frites (Pacific Palisades, CA) for Chin Bib Set of Three.
Winner: Zipit (New York, NY) for Happy Playsuit, a one piece infant playsuit with a full front opening that includes an ankle-to-neck reversible zipper for easy diaper changing.
Finalist: The Ellie Rose, LLC (Chester Springs, PA) for Phoebe Dress.
Finalist: JoJo Maman Bébé (London, UK) for JoJo 4-in-1 waterproof jackets with recycled polar fleece lining.
