WHITE PLAINS, NY, February 21, 2020... Online voting to determine the winning design concept for a NY NOW branded tote bag closes at 11:59 pm (ET) on Thursday, February 28. NY NOW (formerly the New York International Gift Fair® /NYIGF®) has partnered with Red Clay, a collaborative product design studio, to commission a design for a commemorative tote that will be produced and distributed at the summer 2013 market.

Designs from the two finalists, "New York SkyLine" by Kara Cannon, and "New York in 3D" by Miguel Migneco, are up for the last round of voting on RedClayDesign.com. Voting is open to everyone.

"New York in 3D" by Miguel Migneco
Migneco, a graphic designer at Emmanuel Delicata, utilized his proficiency in illustration, web and graphic design, and an eye for detail to create this three dimensional design featuring the New York City skyline.

"New York SkyLine" by Kara Cannon
Originally from West Virginia, Cannon recently graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Master's in Architecture. She travels extensively with her husband while continuing to explore her love for design.

Background:
This first-of-its-kind design project began in November 2012, when NY NOW commissioned Red Clay to run a crowd-sourced online design competition for a new tote design. Red Clay received hundreds of entries, and selected seven finalists. These prototypes were showcased at the winter market in New York City, allowing market participants to vote for two finalists. As the top two vote-getters, Cannon and Migneco were asked to re-visit their designs and incorporate the NY NOW branding for the last round of voting. The winning designer will receive $1,000.
